Cutters in Cap Trouble?

2011-08-18

Calgary (CP) - When the league announced that this season's salary cap would come in at $49 million, the Cutters capologists could be heard tapping away on their adding machines through the halls of the Skoda Dome.  The teams estimated pro roster salaries could add up to over $52 million and rumours are swirling that the team is looking to unload some of their high priced stars.

The team is apparently listening to offers for their highest paid players including Henrik Sedin & Dion Phaneuf.... and of course it's public knowledge that Vaclav Prospal could be had for a low round pick by any team with a ton of space.  Other names rumoured to be shopped include veterans Toni Lydman, Craig Anderson, Paul Martin & Rusty Klesla, among others.
